All dogs, regardless of breed, age, or size, need training. Sound training techniques, coupled with correct instruction, helps the owner to establish clear, unambiguous behavioral expectations from their dog; such training, carried out in an effective, efficient, and non-confrontational manner, achieves this goal and avoids confusion -- confusion being the mortal enemy of training.

Last, but by no means least, the well trained dog is a much safer and happier animal, resulting in a good companion, and a welcome neighbor -- making for an equally contented owner.

Every dog is a unique individual. The approach to, and application of any training program must take into consideration the age and temperament of the dog.
